Adults Qualified Practitioner – Safeguarding Team

About the role

Our client, Lincolnshire County Council, is seeking an Adults Qualified Practitioner to join its Safeguarding Team. Working under Safeguarding Principal Practitioners, you will protect adults at risk and deliver statutory safeguarding functions in line with the Care Act 2014.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries, making initial determinations on legal duty fulfilment.
• Collaborate with partner agencies across health, social care and other organisations to respond to concerns of abuse or neglect.
• Apply a strengths‑based, person‑centred approach to ensure individuals remain at the heart of decisions, promoting choice, control and positive outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, including Section 42 of the Care Act 2014.
• Ability to assess risk, make sound professional judgments and develop proportionate safeguarding plans.
• Experience in screening and triaging safeguarding concerns and determining appropriate pathways.
• Proactive curiosity, resilience under pressure and the capacity to manage a demanding workload.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging sensitively with adults at risk, families and professionals.
