Adults Social Worker – MASH (Temporary, £30/hr)

About the role

Our client, a Greater Manchester Council, is looking for a qualified Adults Social Worker to join its Multi‑Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in Oldham. The role is full‑time and temporary, offering a competitive rate of £30 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct safeguarding enquiries and assessments for adults at risk.
• Triage and screen incoming referrals within the Adult MASH service.
• Gather, analyse and share information from partner agencies to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with police, health, housing and other statutory partners.
• Assess risk and determine appropriate safeguarding interventions.
• Apply relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act.
• Participate in multi‑agency meetings, strategy discussions and safeguarding reviews.
• Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive case records.
• Manage a busy caseload while meeting statutory timescales.
• Promote positive outcomes, independence and wellbeing for vulnerable adults.
• Provide professional recommendations and support effective safeguarding plans.
• Ensure practice is person‑centred, strengths‑based and compliant with local authority policies.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum of three years’ experience working as a qualified social worker.
