Advanced Cancer Care Pharmacist – Cellular Therapies

About the role

This permanent role is based at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre, supporting patients receiving cutting‑edge cellular therapies such as CAR‑T and autologous stem‑cell transplants. You will join a highly supportive haematology pharmacy team and contribute to the development of advanced cancer services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pharmaceutical care for CAR‑T cell therapy, autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplants and other Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
• Collaborate closely with the haematology pharmacy team to innovate and improve cancer service delivery.
• Participate in clinical trials and engage with a pipeline of new treatments, shaping future cancer care.
• Take part in service‑improvement projects and pursue personal and professional development opportunities.

Required profile

• Master of Pharmacy degree (or equivalent) and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Independent prescribing qualification.
• Postgraduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, or demonstrable competence to the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Core Advanced Curriculum.
• Commitment to evidence‑based, patient‑focused pharmaceutical services.
• Experience influencing prescribing practices and working in a cancer‑focused environment.
• Training in Systemic Anticancer Treatment (SACT) verification.
