Advanced Engineering Graduate Placement (12-24 months)

About the role

Join Bosch Rexroth and HydraForce in Birmingham as an Advanced Engineering Graduate. Over a 12‑24 month placement you will support the development of hydraulic motion‑control products, working across mechanical, electrical, control and systems engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in concept generation, feasibility studies and technical investigations for new products and technologies.
• Develop and optimise prototypes, perform engineering calculations, simulations and technical analysis.
• Support system‑level integration of mechanical, electrical, electronic and software components, including testing and validation.
• Contribute to control‑system development, PLC and HMI programming, and automation of manufacturing equipment.
• Produce engineering drawings and 3D CAD models, and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure cost‑effective designs.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic, Control Systems, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with good numerical and mathematical capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
