About the role
Our client Gateshead Council is seeking an Advanced Practitioner to join the Assessment and Safeguarding team. The role involves working as an Advanced Social Worker with children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, and Cared For plans.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and safeguard children identified as being in need or at risk.
- Develop and review care plans in line with council policies.
- Collaborate with multi‑agency partners, including courts, where relevant.
- Contribute to PLO processes and court work as required.
Required profile
- Experience working with children in need, child protection or cared‑for plans.
- Familiarity with PLO and court procedures is advantageous.
- Willingness to fully register with Remedy for locum positions.
- Ability to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure (DBS) check.
