Advanced Technical Trainer – Bus and Coach Engineering

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Advanced Technical Trainer to lead Bus and Coach Engineering training. The role involves inspiring apprentices and delivering both theoretical and practical sessions that meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging theory and hands‑on training for bus and coach engineering apprentices.
• Carry out vocational assessments on‑site and off‑site to evaluate competence.
• Work closely with the Engineering department to share technical knowledge and best practices.
• Provide ongoing guidance and support to apprentices and employer partners.
• Maintain health, safety and regulatory compliance throughout all training activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bus and coach operations, maintenance or engineering.
• At least a Level 3 qualification in a relevant technical field.
• Strong teaching, training or mentoring ability; teaching qualifications are a plus.
• Good understanding of industry regulations and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Enthusiasm for innovation and developing the next generation of engineers.
