Aesthetic Technician - Rolling Stock

About the role
The Aesthetic Technician will join a live rail depot team, ensuring the interior and exterior appearance of rolling stock meets the highest standards. You will work on a variety of trains, performing visual inspections and corrective work to maintain a clean, presentable fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect train interiors and exteriors for aesthetic defects and document findings.
- Repair bodyside dents, scratches, and vegetation damage.
- Perform spray‑painting of panels and components.
- Replace decals, lino flooring, window film and damaged non‑safety components such as seats and cup‑holders.
- Remove graffiti from both internal and external surfaces.
- Update Maximo work orders with before‑and‑after photos and log all activities.
- Carry out depot driving and DP duties as required.
Required profile
- Proven experience in vehicle body repair from preparation through to paint.
- Mechanical background and a full UK driving licence.
- Reliable timekeeping and willingness to work overtime.
- Basic computer literacy.

- Competitive hourly rate (£22.28‑£28.99) on a PAYE or umbrella basis.
- Full‑time, on‑going contract with shift pattern Sun‑Thu nights (50 hrs/week).
