About the role

This part‑time, temporary position offers a qualified teacher the chance to deliver focused GCSE tuition in Maths and English after school hours. The role is flexible, allowing you to fit teaching around your existing schedule while making a real impact on student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned tuition in Maths and English up to GCSE level.
• Plan and deliver personalised lessons that address individual learning needs.
• Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
• Monitor progress, set achievable targets and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to adapt lessons for different learners.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Desirable: experience supporting SEN or SEMH students and a background in tutoring or targeted interventions.
