Afternoon Commis Chef – Bakery Production

About the role

Join The Bread Factory’s bustling bakery as an Afternoon Commis Chef. Working the 1 pm‑10 pm shift, you’ll support large‑scale production of artisan breads, pastries, and cakes while learning from senior chefs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation for high‑volume bakery production.
• Follow recipes and kitchen procedures with precision.
• Support senior chefs in maintaining rigorous hygiene and food‑safety standards.
• Keep your workstation clean, organised, and well‑stocked.
• Contribute to a collaborative, positive team environment.

Required profile

• Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential – full training provided.
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Flexibility to work any five days between Monday and Sunday.
