About the role
A friendly primary school in Lancaster is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work afternoons and support its after‑school club. The role starts in September 2026 and runs at least until the October half‑term, offering a chance to make a positive impact on young learners.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning throughout the afternoon sessions.
- Work with individuals and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
- Help maintain a safe, positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Assist with planning and delivery of after‑school club activities.
- Supervise pupils attending after‑school club sessions until 5:30 pm.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to pupil engagement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to support after‑school provision until 5:30 pm on designated days.
- Relevant TA qualification desirable but not essential.
