About the role
A friendly primary school in Poulton‑le‑Fylde is seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work afternoons and supervise after‑school club sessions. The position starts in September 2026 and runs at least until the October half‑term, offering a supportive environment for early‑career educators.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning during five afternoon sessions each week.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom atmosphere.
- Assist in planning and delivering after‑school club activities.
- Supervise two after‑school club sessions each week until 5:30 pm.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children in a school or childcare setting.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to pupil engagement.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to stay until 5:30 pm for designated after‑school sessions.
- Relevant TA qualification desirable but not essential.
