Agency Social Worker – 0‑Infants Team

About the role

Randstad Care is seeking an experienced Agency Social Worker to join Blackpool Children’s Services 0‑Infants Team. You will work directly with families and children, delivering a strengths‑based, relationship‑focused approach to achieve the best outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake pre‑birth assessments and manage complex caseloads.
• Handle Child Protection, Complex Child in Need, and PLO/Pre‑Proceedings cases.
• Produce high‑quality assessments, court statements and reports.
• Mentor and coach less experienced social workers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes for children and families.

Required profile

• Strong experience in children’s social work, including pre‑birth, child protection, CIN and PLO.
• Excellent assessment and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work independently on a complex caseload.
• Passion for high‑quality practice and team development.
• Registered with Social Work England (SWE).
