Agile Practitioner – Coaching Teams in Defence

About the role

We are looking for an Agile Practitioner to join a leading defence organisation in Bristol. You will help shape modern ways of working within a complex technical environment, coaching teams and improving value delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor teams on Agile principles, behaviours and delivery practices.
• Facilitate workshops, ceremonies and discussions to enhance collaboration and outcomes.
• Identify and remove blockers, supporting continuous improvement.
• Work with wider delivery groups to embed effective Agile approaches across a complex programme.
• Adapt Agile methods pragmatically to meet the needs of a specialist defence setting.

Required profile

• British nationality due to the nature of the work.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Practitioner or similar Agile delivery role.
• Experience coaching, facilitating and supporting teams adopting Agile principles.
• Background working in complex technical environments, preferably across hardware and software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

Required skills

• Practical experience applying Agile frameworks within delivery teams.
• Ability to mentor and develop team confidence in Agile practices.
• Facilitation, coaching and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Comfort working with technical teams and understanding complex delivery challenges.
