Agricultural Accounts Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Agricultural Accounts Manager to join a leading chartered accountancy firm in Barnstaple. The role supports the directors and focuses on delivering accounting, tax and advisory services to clients operating in the farming and rural sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of agricultural clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Oversee the preparation and delivery of accounts, tax returns and related financial services.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional advisory work.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support.
• Contribute to wider project work and strategic initiatives within the firm.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT with managerial experience.
• Proven track record delivering accounts, tax and advisory services to agricultural or rural clients.
• Experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Motivation to progress within a growing firm and take on increasing responsibility.
