Agricultural Senior Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Agricultural Senior Manager to join a leading chartered‑accountants firm in Exeter. The role supports the directors and focuses on delivering accounting, tax and advisory services to clients operating in the farming, agricultural and rural sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of agricultural clients, overseeing the preparation of accounts, tax returns and related services.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, identifying opportunities for additional advisory and business planning work.
• Lead and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with senior partners on strategic projects and sector‑specific initiatives.
• Contribute to the growth of the firm’s agricultural practice through business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ACCA, CTA or ATT with several years of experience at a managerial level within an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience delivering accounts, tax and advisory services to farming, agricultural or rural clients.
• Ambitious professional seeking a clear progression path and willing to take on increasing responsibility.
