AI Automation Engineer (Hybrid, Leeds)

About the role

We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join a leading finance house on a hybrid basis, working 2‑3 days per week on‑site in Leeds. The role focuses on designing and delivering AI‑driven test automation solutions that improve regression efficiency and reduce costs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Appium and Rest Assured.
• Integrate generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q and Cursor AI to automate test generation and optimisation.
• Lead end‑to‑end test lifecycle activities, including strategy, estimation, governance and stakeholder communication.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or Azure environments.
• Execute high‑volume API, web, mobile and desktop testing, leveraging cloud‑based platforms like BrowserStack and Perfecto.
• Collaborate across multi‑project, distributed teams to ensure consistent delivery and quality.

Required profile

• Security‑Clearance (SC) is mandatory.
• Extensive experience in AI‑assisted testing, including GenAI and RAG‑based systems.
• Proven QA/SDET background covering web, mobile, API, desktop and cloud applications.
• Strong track record of delivering large‑scale automation projects with measurable cost optimisation.
