AI Automation Engineer - SC Cleared

About the role

We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer with Security Clearance (SC) to join a leading finance house in a hybrid capacity, working on‑site 2‑3 days per week in London or Leeds. The role focuses on delivering AI‑driven testing solutions and building scalable automation frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑assisted testing strategies using GenAI, RAG‑based systems and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q and Cursor AI.
• Lead innovation PoCs for AI‑generated test cases and regression optimisation.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks across Selenium, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured and TestNG.
• Manage end‑to‑end test lifecycle, including strategy, estimation, governance and stakeholder communication.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Deliver large‑scale API automation and drive measurable cost optimisation.
• Coordinate cross‑platform testing (web, mobile, API, desktop) using cloud‑based services like BrowserStack and Perfecto.

Required profile

• Senior QA/SDET with proven experience across web, mobile, API, desktop and cloud testing.
• Demonstrated ability to create scalable automation frameworks and enterprise‑wide test strategies.
• Strong track record of delivering high‑volume automation projects and cost‑saving initiatives.
• Excellent collaboration skills within multi‑project, distributed teams.
