AI Data Automation Lead – AWS, Data Lakes & Automation (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an AI Data Automation Lead to drive the modernisation of investment data and operations for a fast‑growing company in Central London. This 3‑month rolling contract (outside IR35) will evolve into a 12‑month engagement, combining hands‑on delivery with strategic advisory.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve a cloud‑based data architecture using data lake technologies.
• Define and execute a roadmap for automating investment operations and workflow modernisation.
• Build and oversee data pipelines that integrate portfolio, market, reporting, and financial systems.
• Establish governance, monitoring, and data‑quality standards with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Identify manual processes and redesign them into efficient automated workflows.
• Develop reporting, analytics and operational intelligence capabilities on modern platforms.
• Drive adoption of AI and Large Language Model solutions to boost productivity and insight generation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data‑platform or automation projects in a financial or investment context.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to act as both delivery lead and strategic advisor.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment – part remote, part on‑site in Central London.
