AI Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AI Developer to design, build and ship production AI functionality for a fast‑growing consumer technology business. You will own the AI‑enabled meal‑planning feature within an existing app, shaping how large language models and rule‑based logic combine to deliver personalised suggestions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop production‑grade LLM‑powered features and AI agents.
• Integrate LLM capabilities into existing mobile and backend applications, APIs and datasets.
• Create hybrid solutions that blend AI, deterministic logic and proprietary data.
• Prototype ideas quickly, test them and move successful concepts into production.
• Optimise prompts, model selection, latency, quality and inference cost, including token consumption.
• Evaluate new models, tooling and approaches as the AI landscape evolves.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with deep hands‑on AI development experience.
• Proven track record building real‑world applications using LLMs, AI agents and cloud AI platforms.
• Comfortable being the primary AI specialist within a broader engineering team and sharing knowledge.

• Prompt and context engineering, retrieval and grounding techniques.
