AI Engineer – Inside IR35 – Insurance (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

SRG is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for a 6‑month contract to deliver AI‑enabled solutions for insurance applications. The role is hands‑on, covering the full development lifecycle from front‑end user interfaces to back‑end services, APIs, databases, and AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack applications using modern engineering practices.
• Build scalable back‑end services, APIs and distributed systems.
• Develop AI‑powered features, automation workflows and generative AI capabilities.
• Work across the stack, from Angular front‑end to .NET/C# services and SQL databases.
• Optimise performance, scalability and reliability through analysis and tuning.
• Collaborate with product, architecture and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and DevOps best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support.
• Produce clear technical documentation and share knowledge within the team.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with .NET/C# development.
• Proven ability to build modern Angular applications.
• Solid SQL and database development expertise.
• Experience delivering full‑stack solutions and integrating APIs/microservices.
• Knowledge of cloud‑based and distributed architectures.
• Experience with AI‑enabled solutions or generative AI workflows.
• Good problem‑solving skills and effective stakeholder communication.
