AI Engineer – Remote Europe

About the role

Reedsy is building the best ecosystem for writers and needs AI expertise to enhance creativity without replacing it. As an AI Engineer you will create intelligent features that support storytelling and streamline author workflows, working fully remotely across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑powered tools for authors, such as a narrative co‑pilot or visual storyboarding assistant.
• Improve internal workflows by automating repetitive tasks and enhancing user experience across the product suite.
• Build internal AI development tools, including evaluation benchmarks and automated testing pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to identify high‑impact AI opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience integrating AI/ML into production products, owning the full lifecycle from modeling to deployment.
• Hands‑on work with large language models, including prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud) and scalable AI deployment.
• Knowledge of hallucination detection and mitigation strategies.
