AI Engineer – Tech-Driven Proprietary Trading

About the role

We are seeking an AI Engineer to join a multi‑asset proprietary trading team in London. The role focuses on building and operating AI‑driven infrastructure that supports the firm’s quantitative strategies across fixed income, equities, FX, commodities and emerging crypto‑assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy end‑to‑end AI infrastructure and applications, from proof‑of‑concept to production.
• Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers and data scientists to identify high‑impact AI use cases.
• Implement automated pipelines for continuous model training, validation and monitoring.
• Provide technical leadership in selecting and integrating AI/ML frameworks, libraries and tools across diverse hardware environments.
• Build and maintain feature pipelines, feature stores and model stores to enable reproducible research.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and optimise GPU/CPU resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex problems in a fast‑moving trading environment.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams and delivering production‑grade software.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI and ML frameworks and libraries.
• Hands‑on experience with GPU and CPU optimisation.
• Ability to build and manage feature pipelines, feature stores and model stores.
