AI Platform Architect

About the role

We are partnering with a global technology consultancy to deliver one of the UK's largest AI transformation programmes for a leading banking client. As an AI Platform Architect you will design and implement enterprise‑scale, cloud‑native AI solutions that are secure, governed, and production‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end AI/ML architectures, from data ingestion to model deployment and monitoring.
• Define scalable cloud‑native AI solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Lead the architecture of platforms supporting traditional ML and Generative AI use cases.
• Establish MLOps, LLMOps and AgentOps best practices, including CI/CD, model registries, feature stores, lineage tracking and observability.
• Build secure, resilient real‑time, batch and streaming inference solutions.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, regulatory and audit requirements for financial services.
• Collaborate with engineering, data, security and business teams to deliver production‑ready AI capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple workstreams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an AI Architect, Enterprise Architect or Machine Learning Architect delivering enterprise AI solutions.
• Strong background designing end‑to‑end AI/ML platforms and production‑ready architectures.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform and cloud‑native AI services.
• Deep knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps or AI platform engineering, including model lifecycle management and deployment pipelines.
• Understanding of AI governance, model risk, auditability and responsible AI practices.
• Experience working in regulated industries, preferably banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking and secure architecture principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills for both technical and business audiences.

• Salary £80,000 – £100,000 per year plus bonus
