About the role
Anthropic is offering a 4‑month full‑time AI Safety & Security Fellowship. Fellows will conduct empirical research using open‑source models and public APIs, aiming to produce a public output such as a paper.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute an empirical research project aligned with Anthropic’s AI safety priorities.
- Utilise external compute resources and public APIs to develop experiments.
- Collaborate with Anthropic mentors and the broader AI safety community.
- Prepare and submit a research paper or comparable public deliverable.
Required profile
- Strong interest in AI safety, security, and research.
- Ability to work full‑time (≈40 hours/week) for four months.
- Motivation to produce high‑quality research outputs.

- Weekly stipend of $3,850 USD (or equivalent in GBP/CAD).
- Funding for compute resources up to $15k per month.
