AI & Technology Developer

About the role

Direct Redress is seeking an AI & Technology Developer to join a small, high‑performing tech team within its Financial Services Group. Working under the Head of Tech, you will help design, build and embed AI‑driven solutions across multiple businesses, gaining exposure to both financial and professional services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI tools and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Head of Tech to shape and deliver the technology roadmap.
• Build and maintain internal systems, applications, and data workflows.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance client and staff experiences.
• Support technology needs across several businesses within the group.
• Stay up‑to‑date with AI advancements and emerging technologies, proposing innovative ideas.

Required profile

• Ability to code in PHP without relying on frameworks.
• Experience administering MySQL databases.
• Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Familiarity with Git and version‑control workflows.
• Good grasp of business workflows and process flows.
• Commercially minded with a focus on solving real business problems.
• Self‑starter who can work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical ideas to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Passion for applying AI in a business context today.
