Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Technical Services Manager

About the role

This position is for an experienced Refrigeration or Air‑Conditioning Engineer who wants to move from field work to a strategic, office‑based role. You will own the technical and operational decisions for all service and maintenance jobs within a fast‑growing residential air‑conditioning company.

Key responsibilities

• Review engineer job sheets, diagnose issues and decide on parts or next steps.
• Allocate jobs, set priorities and hold field Service Engineers accountable for quality and speed.
• Work closely with the Commercial Director during an initial two‑month phase to shape workflows and automation.
• Run the day‑to‑day technical and operational side of the service department, reporting to the Managing Director.
• Provide expert guidance when field teams encounter problems they cannot resolve.

Required profile

• Senior Refrigeration or Air‑Conditioning Engineer with several years of on‑site experience.
• Strong technical judgment and the ability to make decisive recommendations.
• Leadership capability to direct and motivate a team of field engineers.
• Desire to transition from hands‑on work to a managerial, office‑based position.
