Air Export Clerk – International Freight Forwarder

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Air Export Clerk to join a growing international e‑commerce and courier freight forwarder based near Heathrow. The role involves full ownership of air freight shipments, from initial booking to final departure, ensuring smooth movement across a global network.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international air export shipments from booking through to departure.
• Prepare export customs entries and all required documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices and customs declarations.
• Issue pre‑alerts and shipping documents to overseas agents to keep shipments progressing efficiently.
• Liaise with airlines, transport providers, warehouse teams, overseas agents and customers to coordinate exports.
• Monitor live shipments, resolve operational issues and provide regular updates to customers.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, aviation security requirements and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
• Proven ability to manage air export shipments from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of export customs procedures and documentation.
• Experience completing customs entries and airline bookings.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast‑paced, time‑critical setting.
