Air Tightness Engineer – North West England

About the role

We are a well‑established construction services organisation seeking an Air Tightness/Acoustic Engineer to join our team in North West England. You will be responsible for delivering air‑tightness and acoustic testing for a range of high‑profile public and private sector projects, supporting our clients in improving building performance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out air‑tightness and acoustic testing across the North West England region.
• Manage end‑to‑end client engagement, including arranging site visits and pre‑site checks.
• Explain design features, identify faults and recommend improvements to site managers, architects and quantity surveyors.
• Conduct design reviews and suggest cost‑effective measures to enhance energy efficiency.
• Perform pre‑test audits and produce detailed technical reports identifying leakage areas.
• Ensure compliance with Part L Building Regulations.
• Work on a variety of property types, from single‑house tests to large‑scale development testing.

Required profile

• Qualified in an engineering discipline.
• Background in engineering, surveying, building or construction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing.
• Understanding of building anatomy.
• Computer literate.
