Airside Ramp Team Leader (Jersey Airport)

About the role

Swissport is seeking an Airside Ramp Team Leader to oversee airport operations at Jersey Airport. You will motivate and guide a team to ensure safe, efficient handling of inbound and outbound flights while maintaining strong relationships with customers and airport authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate tasks, manage absences and overtime.
• Plan and deploy resources to meet roster, customer and operational requirements.
• Develop an open feedback culture and manage employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with Swissport safety, security procedures and regulatory standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date manuals, documentation and equipment.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and airport authorities.
• Communicate clearly through briefings, handovers and reports.
• Resolve conflicts, irregularities and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Assist with local emergency plans and other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Flexible to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Fluent in English and able to travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather and lift up to 32 kg during shifts.
• Previous aviation experience and team‑leadership background preferred.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication abilities.
• Full driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
