Airworthiness Review Engineer

About the role

Airworthiness Review Engineers are responsible for managing and producing airworthiness reviews for the Airbus Helicopters UK (AHUK) fleet and external customers. Based at RAF Shawbury, this permanent position supports the Defence Helicopter Flying School and ensures all aircraft meet the highest safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive airworthiness reviews for ARC, NARC and Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA) renewals and extensions.
• Perform independent checks on component replacements and update aircraft flight manuals.
• Support the review and modification of Aircraft Maintenance Programmes (AMPs) and Airworthiness Directive Records (ADRs).
• Assist line and base maintenance planning, materials planning, procurement and maintenance variation production.
• Maintain accurate updates of aircraft and engine records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in conducting airworthiness reviews and ensuring strict compliance with established procedures.
• Familiarity with ARC, NARC and CofA processes within civil and military helicopter operations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, planning and procurement teams.
