Alcohol & Drug Technician (Zero‑hour) – Aviemore

About the role

We are looking for an Alcohol & Drug Technician to carry out workplace substance testing for our clients across the UK. The role is based in Aviemore and operates on a zero‑hour contract, offering flexibility to respond to scheduled and unscheduled testing calls.

Key responsibilities

• Perform alcohol and drug testing using approved paperwork and equipment (urine, oral fluid, onsite or laboratory).
• Follow strict Chain of Custody procedures for all samples.
• Attend client sites, ensuring arrival within a two‑hour window for call‑outs.
• Provide weekly availability to the administration team and adapt to short‑notice call‑outs.
• Accurately complete protocols and related documentation.
• Support the Client Services Team with process improvements and promote Hampton Knight services.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including unscheduled call‑outs.
• Ability to travel to various client locations across the UK.
• Experience in the alcohol and drug testing field is not essential – full training is provided.
