Alternative Investments Tax Advisor – Associate

About the role

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Associate in Global Tax to advise its Alternative Investments platform within Asset Management. The role focuses on tax consequences of alternative investment funds and deals, requiring strong transaction management and collaboration across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Advise Goldman Sachs Asset Management businesses on tax implications of alternative investment funds and transactions.
• Work with, and challenge, inputs from external tax advisors.
• Liaise with other tax colleagues across the firm, especially the US tax team.

Required profile

• Professional qualification – qualified lawyer or ACA/CTA.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification tax experience at a leading firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax law.
• Experience with cross‑border transactions and structuring, including familiarity with European and US tax regimes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Flexible, quick learner and highly motivated team player.
