AML Analyst – Anti-Money Laundering Specialist

About the role

We are partnering with a premier global financial services institution to find an AML Compliance & Transformation Subject Matter Expert. This 9‑month temporary position is based in Canary Wharf, London and offers hybrid working. The role sits within the Investor Anti‑Money Laundering team and is responsible for overseeing anti‑financial crime processes and controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage AML processes for new and existing investors, including complex KYC checks, transaction monitoring, screening and oversight of outsourced functions.
• Support the development and implementation of the UKTA anti‑financial crime framework and lead large‑scale client projects and change initiatives.
• Act as SME for local and offshore teams, providing guidance on complex corporate structures, trusts, charities, pensions and UBO identification.
• Lead, manage and investigate complex AML and fraud cases, using strong judgement to drive effective resolutions.
• Ensure processes meet audit, risk and compliance standards and cover AML Manager responsibilities when required.
• Build strong relationships across Transfer Agency, Compliance and Relationship Management and represent the team in senior stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as ICA, CAMS or IOC.
• Proven senior AML compliance or operations experience in financial services, fund administration or transfer agency.
• Deep knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations and related financial crime legislation.
• Extensive experience analysing complex corporate structures and identifying ultimate beneficial owners.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large‑scale AML/financial crime projects or transformation programmes.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
