Analyst/Associate – Project Management Placement Agent

About the role

Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading private‑markets advisory to hire a Project Management Placement Agent for its London team. The role supports fundraising mandates, client relationships and business‑development initiatives across the private‑capital landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project‑management activities across multiple fundraising mandates.
• Prepare high‑quality marketing, fundraising and presentation materials for private‑capital managers.
• Conduct analytical assessment and screening of prospective client opportunities.
• Analyse fund track records, financial performance metrics and due‑diligence materials.
• Collaborate with fundraising and investor‑relations professionals to support capital‑raising processes.
• Assist with investor‑engagement initiatives and ongoing fundraising activities.
• Contribute to business‑development and origination efforts, identifying prospective private‑markets managers.
• Manage several workstreams simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in financial services, investment banking, private markets, placement advisory, transaction services or related fields.
• Highly organised, commercially minded and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, results‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Degree‑educated, ideally 2:1 classification or equivalent.

Required skills

• Financial modelling experience and strong quantitative abilities.
• Experience leveraging AI‑driven tools and technologies to improve efficiency (highly advantageous).
