Anaplan Model Builder – FP&A Specialist

About the role

This permanent position is based in the City of London and sits within the FP&A team of a leading insurance market business. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering end‑to‑end Anaplan solutions that replace existing Excel‑based planning models.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current Excel planning and forecasting models and translate them into Anaplan modules, mappings, front‑ends and datasets.
• Load and validate data in Anaplan to ensure alignment with existing results.
• Build calculation and output modules for profit & loss statements, balance‑sheet positions and forecasts across all entities.
• Configure Anaplan front‑ends to capture inputs from multiple business departments.
• Create review and reporting outputs that compare actuals, plans and forecasts.
• Maintain and update Anaplan hierarchies, lists and mappings.
• Demonstrate Anaplan mechanics to stakeholders at all levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience building complete Anaplan models, preferably within insurance or broader financial services.
• Strong understanding of planning and forecasting processes.
• Accounting background is preferred; familiarity with IFRS and UK GAAP reporting requirements is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
