Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB) Support Officer to join a dedicated team delivering community safety services for Manchester City Council. Working on the ground, you will help reduce anti‑social incidents, support victims and engage with perpetrators to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a harm‑centred approach to casework, identifying victims and perpetrators of anti‑social behaviour.
• Assess vulnerability and make appropriate referrals for support services.
• Collaborate with police to deliver on‑street community safety interventions.
• Issue Community Protection Warnings or Notices where required.
• Engage positively with perpetrators to encourage compliance with requirements.
• Accurately record all interventions and outcomes.
• Promote the team’s work through internal and external communications and events.
• Support the partnership community safety van initiative.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in anti‑social behaviour or community safety roles.
• Strong knowledge of local safeguarding and community protection frameworks.
• Ability to work visibly in the community and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and record‑keeping skills.
