Anti‑Social Behaviour Support Officer

About the role

The Anti‑Social Behaviour Support Officer will join Manchester City Council’s Community Safety, Compliance and Enforcement Service. Working on a 5‑6 month contract, the officer will help create a safer neighbourhood by addressing anti‑social incidents and supporting victims.

Key responsibilities

• Apply a harm‑centred approach to casework, identifying victims and perpetrators.
• Assess vulnerability and refer individuals to appropriate support services.
• Collaborate with police to deliver on‑street safety interventions.
• Issue Community Protection Warnings/Notices and engage positively with offenders.
• Accurately record all actions and promote team work through internal communications.
• Drive the partnership community safety van to various locations as required.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with professionals, victims, witnesses and perpetrators.
• Experience applying anti‑social behaviour legislation.
• Proficiency with ICT applications for accurate record‑keeping.
• Flexibility to work shifts between 8 am – 8 pm, Monday‑Friday.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
