Application Developer – Low‑Code Solutions for Finance & Risk

About the role

The Application Developer will design, build and maintain low‑code applications that support the Finance, Performance, Risk and Assurance (FPRA) directorate. Working closely with senior FPRA leaders, you will enhance existing business processes and introduce automation and AI‑enabled capabilities where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop low‑code applications to streamline FPRA processes.
• Provide technical leadership, promoting best engineering practices and component reuse.
• Integrate new solutions with existing systems to improve data flow and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with the FPRA team and wider COO group on digital transformation initiatives.
• Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Maintain applications, ensuring data validity, integrity and compliance with UKHSA data governance and security standards.
• Deliver training and guidance to business users to drive adoption.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering low‑code solutions in a complex organisational environment.
• Ability to work with senior stakeholders and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
