Application Developer – Oracle & WinForms (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to join a well‑established investment technology team in Edinburgh. The role is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days on‑site each week, and focuses on enhancing and modernising a suite of front‑office applications that support daily investment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance enterprise applications using C#/.NET WinForms.
• Design, build and maintain Oracle PL/SQL objects such as procedures, packages, functions and scheduled jobs.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in existing systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in technical design, peer reviews, testing and release activities.
• Contribute to technical debt reduction and application modernisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing Oracle‑backed applications.
• Proven ability to work across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience working in collaborative, Agile delivery teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to engage directly with stakeholders.
