Application Support Analyst

About the role

As an Application Support Analyst you will maintain and improve business‑critical insurance claims applications. You will work closely with product owners, developers and business analysts to resolve production issues and deliver new functionality that supports the insurer’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for enterprise‑scale insurance claims systems.
• Investigate, analyse and resolve application incidents, identifying root causes and implementing permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers and Business Analysts to design and deliver system enhancements and new features.
• Participate in Agile delivery activities including sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Perform unit testing and assist with system, integration and user‑acceptance testing.
• Support integrations with internal and third‑party applications.
• Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
• Assist with change‑management processes to ensure successful releases.
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, providing technical guidance and managing expectations.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Application Support Analyst or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience supporting insurance claims applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Understanding of insurance claims processing and related business workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
