Application Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Application Support Engineer to provide high‑quality technical support for business‑critical applications. The role involves troubleshooting issues, collaborating with developers and stakeholders, and ensuring service level agreements are met. This position offers a hybrid working model based in Fareham, Hampshire.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and resolve application issues within agreed SLAs.
• Troubleshoot and manage client tickets from initiation to resolution.
• Work closely with stakeholders, analysts, and developers to deliver solutions.
• Communicate clearly with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
• Gather requirements for system changes (RFCs) and support their delivery.
• Test, document, and support application updates.
• Assist with debugging and implement improvements, with training provided.
• Contribute to team development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in application or software support.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both technical and non‑technical.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Self‑motivated with a willingness to learn.
