Application Support Engineer

About the role

Our client is seeking an Application Support Engineer to join their internal technology team. The role involves providing day‑to‑day support for a range of business‑critical applications, working closely with stakeholders and third‑party suppliers to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for a variety of business‑critical applications.
• Investigate and resolve application‑related incidents.
• Coordinate software updates, patches and deployments with third‑party suppliers.
• Assist with system upgrades, testing and new feature releases.
• Support user acceptance testing and maintain system documentation.
• Monitor application performance and ensure data quality.
• Gather requirements from business stakeholders and identify system improvements.
• Contribute to application and business systems projects.

Required profile

• Previous experience in application or systems support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical users.
• Well‑organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Full UK driving licence.
