Applications Lead – Oracle Cloud HCM

About the role

The Applications Lead will own the technical management of Oracle Cloud HCM modules for a public sector organisation. You will act as the primary point of contact for complex incidents, system enhancements and integration projects, ensuring the platform supports HR and payroll processes effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex Oracle HCM incidents raised by business users.
• Manage system developments from specification through to implementation.
• Oversee quarterly Oracle Cloud updates, testing and essential maintenance activities.
• Coordinate feeder‑system integrations into the Oracle Cloud PaaS solution.
• Collaborate with third‑party technical support providers.
• Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on best use of Oracle Cloud.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical management of Oracle Cloud HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Absence Management, Time & Labor, ORC, BIP Publisher).
• Demonstrated ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot Oracle Cloud HCM solutions.
• Experience using service‑desk systems to manage user queries to resolution.
• Knowledge of change‑management processes, system configuration and testing techniques.
• Understanding of Local Authority IT functions and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact with all organisational levels.
