Apprenticeship Assessor – Remote (Temporary)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Apprenticeship Assessor to join a university’s Apprenticeships team on a temporary basis. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm, and primarily remote with a monthly in‑office meeting.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of apprentices across their apprenticeship programmes.
- Conduct regular progress reviews with apprentices and their employers.
- Review, assess and provide constructive feedback on learner submissions and evidence.
- Monitor and approve Off‑the‑Job Training hours to ensure funding compliance.
- Maintain accurate learner records using an e‑portfolio system.
- Support apprentices to achieve key milestones and stay on track for successful completion.
Required profile
- Previous experience as an Apprenticeship Assessor, Skills Coach or Learning Coach.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload of apprentices.
- Experience conducting apprenticeship progress reviews.
- Good understanding of apprenticeship standards and Off‑the‑Job Training requirements.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship‑building skills.
Required skills
- Experience using OneFile or a similar e‑portfolio system (Aptem is a plus).
What we offer
- Fully remote working with a monthly office meeting.
- Full‑time schedule, Monday‑Friday, 9am‑5pm.
- Hourly rate of £20.05 (equivalent to £36,500 per annum).
- Three‑month fixed‑term contract with potential for extension.
