Apprenticeship Training Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing

About the role

This position leads a brand‑new apprenticeship and technical training centre, delivering high‑quality engineering and process‑industry programmes in partnership with leading employers. You will shape the training provision, manage a team of trainers and ensure an outstanding learner experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the training centre.
• Oversee apprenticeship delivery, curriculum planning and employer engagement.
• Ensure compliance with apprenticeship standards, funding rules and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, develop and motivate the training team.
• Drive continuous improvement and quality assurance across all programmes.
• Maintain strong relationships with employer stakeholders.

Required profile

• Background in engineering, process operations or a related technical discipline.
• Teaching, assessor or IQA qualifications.
• Experience delivering apprenticeships or technical education.
• Proven experience managing teams and working with employer partners.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, funding mechanisms and compliance.
• Experience planning and coordinating learning programmes.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
