Architect – Design‑Led Projects in Exeter

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Architect to join an award‑winning practice in Exeter. The role offers the chance to work on high‑profile, design‑led projects across healthcare, commercial, hospitality and leisure sectors within a supportive, collaborative studio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and detailed solutions from RIBA Stage 0 to Stage 7.
• Prepare planning, tender and construction drawing packages using Revit.
• Produce high‑quality presentation material, technical drawings and project documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and local authorities throughout the design and construction process.
• Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning policy and industry standards.
• Attend design team meetings, client presentations and site inspections.
• Support the team in resolving technical and design challenges to achieve successful project outcomes.

Required profile

• ARB‑registered Architect (RIBA membership advantageous).
• Experience working in a UK architectural practice post‑qualification.
• Proven ability to deliver projects through multiple RIBA work stages.
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, planning procedures and construction methodologies.
• Excellent design, technical and presentation abilities.
• Effective communication and client‑relationship skills.
• Proactive team player capable of managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
