Architect / Project Architect - Residential

About the role

An established architecture practice, known for delivering residential, healthcare and industrial projects from concept through to construction, is looking for an Architect to join its team and support residential-led schemes across the UK. The role covers all RIBA work stages, from early design and planning through to technical design, construction documentation and project delivery, working with clients, consultants and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design proposals and planning applications through to technical design and construction documentation
• Produce technical specifications, tender packages and detailed construction drawings
• Prepare and submit planning applications, with knowledge of NPPF, Local Plans and planning guidance
• Support project programmes and coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders
• Present design work, attend meetings and site inspections, and undertake Designer CDM responsibilities under CDM regulations
• Work collaboratively with architects, assistants and technologists in the studio

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in a UK architecture practice
• Experience on UK residential or housing projects, such as apartments or housing developments
• Ability to work across all RIBA stages and strong technical and construction knowledge
• Highly organised with strong communication skills

Required skills

• Revit (essential)
• AutoCAD (advantageous)
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
