Architect – Residential & Commercial Design (Edinburgh)

About the role

This permanent position is with a RIBA‑chartered practice in Edinburgh, delivering design services across residential and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will lead design development through all RIBA work stages and ensure high‑quality project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development across all RIBA work stages.
• Undertake site visits and surveys to verify compliance.
• Liaise with clients, multidisciplinary teams and contractors.
• Prepare planning schemes and develop detailed construction drawings.
• Produce technical specifications, tender documents and working drawing packages.
• Maintain high standards of drawing production and overall project quality.

Required profile

• ARB registration and a strong post‑RIBA Part 3 qualification.
• Experience as an architect within a UK practice, managing residential and commercial projects.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Excellent drawing and design abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
