Architectural Technician - Bespoke Residential Projects

About the role

A world-renowned architectural practice, specialising in traditional and progressive classical architecture and contextual urbanism, with studios in Winchester and London, is recruiting an Architectural Technician for its Winchester studio. The role is technically focused on bespoke private residential projects, with responsibility for detailed architectural information and support through the RIBA work stages.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural and technical information
• Develop construction details and drawing packages
• Work across multiple RIBA work stages
• Assist with planning and building regulation information
• Coordinate information with consultants and project teams
• Apply a strong understanding of construction methods and building systems
• Work independently while contributing to a wider multidisciplinary team
• Meet agreed deadlines and contribute to bespoke residential projects with a high level of attention to detail

Required profile

• 3+ years' experience within an architectural practice
• Strong technical and construction detailing experience
• Experience working across multiple RIBA stages
• Good knowledge of UK building regulations and construction
• Residential architecture experience, ideally high-end or bespoke
• Attention to detail, practical problem solving, good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
• An interest in traditional and classical architecture
