Area Manager – Military Transition (Night Shift)

About the role
Amazon is seeking former military personnel to join its Operations team as an Area Manager on a night‑shift at the Tilbury fulfillment centre. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of order fulfilment, translating your leadership experience into day‑to‑day operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Drive a culture of safety and wellbeing across the shift.
- Analyse performance data and implement actions to maintain high quality and productivity.
- Lead projects that streamline processes, optimise output and improve customer service.
- Monitor shift performance against business objectives and take corrective actions.
- Collaborate with senior managers to standardise shift practices and ensure operational consistency.
Required profile
- Recent military experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to act on performance metrics.
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage a team on a night‑shift schedule.
